Who knew moving back would be so different and new? The more things change the more things stay the same, is true to some extent. As I write this I find myself sitting in a new country, in a new house, in a new suburb. My kids at a new school. My husband at a new job. The odd thing is this "new" country is one I have lived in before. Two of my children were born here. And no - it's the not the country of my birth nor the country of my passport. We have lived in this country before so you would think this was an easy move. But nothing could be further from the truth. It's like you went on holiday and someone moved all your furniture around. The difference is not one thing I can pinpoint (or even ridicule). It's the same but different. I completely underestimated how simple this move would be. But we are getting there slowly but surely. For now I will continue to roll with the punches of setting up and navigating life in a new country. Same old same old really.
