Ok. So I am new to all this. The 24/7 online world is here. I get it. I now have to be online more and keep abreast of new technologies or become a dinosaur and die. I know it. Doing it is another thing. So keeping in mind the gap in my career from child-birthing and all that child rearing stuff and then add in the title of becoming an "expat wife" or "trailing spouse" (or any of those ghastly phrases which describe professional women who give up their careers to follow their husband's), I may be out of touch somewhat. I know how to use it but managing it is different.
So getting online and Blogging is rather terrifying. Probably not so much for the younger generations that take countless selfies during the day and tweet while sleeping but for those of us who are the "in-betweeners" who straddle the pre-internet and these crazy days of social media, it really is frightening. Already I feel I have become my father's generation who rang me every day at work asking how to minimise and maximise Windows or how to print a Word document.
Regardless I will plough on as I know I need to fill gaps in my CV and have something to show for it while swilling Gin. Alas I am becoming a "me too" and joining the rest of the world where people really don't care about what you say - they just want to rant and adding more worthless content into the ether and increasing more data into the world. So there you have it, my first Blog. Wasn't too scary now was it? Unleash the beast.
I think silly thoughts and musings about the world of marketing, as a marketer, then publish them on my blog because Social Media doesn't give me enough space to rant. Karen Montagu, thats me and these are my silly thoughts and observations.
